Tamanna Develops a Low-Cost Force Senson Based on Stewart Platform

In my M.Sc. dissertation (September 2023) at Brunel University of London, I developed a low-cost force sensor based on the Stewart platform and strain gauges. For this project, I designed and printed a hashtag#PCB board by using hashtag#Eagle for an amplifier circuit. I used hashtag#Solidworks and hashtag#OnShape for the geometry design of the Stewart platform while using hashtag#MATLAB for geometry parameters calculation and simulation. I have 3D printed the designed geometry by using hashtag#3DPrintingTechnology with hashtag#tolerance. I assembled the full geometry with the printed PCB and hashtag#Arduino.
During calibration processes, the response of each sensor was very satisfactory. I made characteristic curves for the sensor after analysis of the calibration data.
Throughout the journey, My supervisor Dr. Yohan Noh provided valuable advice and resources, which helped me a lot. His guidance allowed me to complete the project within the estimated timeline.
